No. 80 current status

Post by buzzer »

I have now started work on no 80 with the first step of getting the bodywork sorted, so far new panels are rear floor and both front inner wings plus assorted repair work which possibly may lead to sills ......and what else. I also need a new rear diff casing which appears to have rotted through, anyone got any thoughts on this?
Here is a pic as she was before strip down

Just got 80 back from getting the welding done. New rear floor, new inner front wings and both battery trays. Bottom drivers door A pillar needed replacing too, everything else was managed to be repaired sills front floors and rear seatbelt mount points. Found a good guy to do the welding in Somerset. And at a decent rate. I can forward detail if anyone wants. Replaced all bushes and ball joints. Overhauled both swivel joints new steeering box, new shocks and front turret tops. Brakes halfway through being done.
Next job is to clean and rust proof it with cavity wax etc.
I'll try and post some pics in the next week.
