CSK #171 here in Oz. "HELP"

Hi all, I am currently looking at buying CSK #171 here in Oz. :)

However I have 2 problems, #171 is in West Australia and I'm in Melbourne, 3,500 ks away. The seller has been quite up front and sent some "rot" shots indicating a "shot" upper tail gate and and some unhealthy looking bubles at the top of the bonnet near the air intake. The car did I believe spend 10 years in Scotland before coming to Oz. in 1991. While I have always loved the " Classic" I know bugg-r all about them.

Are there any other places that are common for rot to set in..?

I would really appreciate any help I can get. 8-)

Cheers,
Tom

All classic RRs rot in the sills, the top and bottom tailgates, the rear wheel arches (where the seat belt mounts are), on the A pillar, inner front wings and bulkhead.

Having said all that, it is perfectly possible to fix any and all of the above. The bulkhead is probably the biggest pain of a problem, but even that is not insurmountable.

Cheers Stu....appreciate your advice.

It's now a cost benifit analysis as to what I pay for it V the potential cost of repairs. J[i]ust got to keep the emotions out of it...!

...it's a classic Range Rover - better than that a CSK... it will *ALWAYS* cost you money!
