Whats number 28 really worth then ?

Post by dmcrobin »

Hi Everyone

Just joined the site and am searching for my own CSK.

Number 28 seems to be advertised everywhere - does anyone know what this car is like - the mileage looks appealing.

And what do you think its really worth - sounds expensive at £6995.

Thanks

To be honest, I don't think it's worth the £7K they want for it. It's clearly had a new bonnet (or at very least a respray) indicating rust here and most likely in the inner wings, and if you look closely the pin stripe doesn't extend accross the rear light quarter panels the way it should, indicating that these have either been replaced or have again been re-sprayed.

My own CSK, no. 109, was on ebay and only reached £6500, despite it being a 1 owner, 32K mile, 100% original example (with virtually no rust and absolutely no welding). I would rate no. 28 at about £4000 to £4500.
CSK 109: Genuinely 34K miles, genuinely unrestored, genuinely in need of some TLC.
