CSK plaque on dash

Post by rangyv8 »

Hi I bought my CSK about 5 years ago with no plaque or documents, the car had been stolen in the 90's but it has been confirmed as a CSK by LR from the engine and chassis no.
I now want to put a plaque in the car although with no number, can anybody please let me know the size of the
plaque and I can try to replicate it.
Any help gratefully received.

following on from my first post my CSK { without number} is an automatic, reg No H901 KAR.
As I said it was stolen while in its first owner ship and recovered in Ireland .It has an Irish reg No
stencilled on all the glass.
Land Rover have confirmed that the chassis number is a CSK.
I also have the original sales document from a dealer in Essex.
The car is complete CSK apart from the dash plaque and has run well for the 8 years Ive had it.
Sorry for the delay in replying to your request crugbun.

I bought mine with no numbered plaque and was able to get in touch with a few previous owners who not only remembered the number but one of them had kept the plaque! So I was very lucky as he gave it to me.
If you have the original sales particulars it might be worth trying to find the original owner - you never know what the internet can find for you!
Its 41.5mm wide and 50mm high and about 1.5mm thick aluminium.
Have you found a picture of one on line?

hi crugbun, Great job you have done on reviving the forum.
Regarding the dash plaque my son has drawn a to scale picture on his computer
and I am hoping to get a copy of it made in aluminium to the correct size,
but with no number.
I have not been able to get any response from past owners. The first owner was a company
and I got the info about Ireland from the secretary.
I am now going to write to the garage that supplied the R.R with the remote hope that they may
have records of the car.
Keep up the good work
Many Thanks
